CONCEPT

Project Description and Design Concept:

Achieving a sense of tranquility and simplicity with the Minimalist Zen theme. Focusing on clean lines, Earthy colors, and uncluttered spaces to create a serene atmosphere. Choosing furniture with sleek and simple designs, avoiding excessive ornamentation, integrating natural elements such as wood and plants to enhance the sense of balance and calmness.

The concept for this space is based on a Japanese term Ugen, that conveys a profound sense of mystery and depth.  Where Spaces are kept clean, uncluttered, and focused on the essentials. This philosophy encourages a minimalist approach, where each item has a purpose, and excess is eliminated to create a sense of calm and clarity.

Inspiration and Vision:

The common areas aim to blur physical boundaries by integrating exterior and interior spaces seamlessly. Simplistic wall colors and wood elements are used cohesively to create a unified experience. The design elements include a grounded ambiance with solid teak wood and simplistic wall tones, furniture as center pieces to guide visual focus, a library/study area with a skylight for an open-sky experience

Design Elements:

1. Sophisticated Ambiance:

The use of sail-toned walls, floors, and ceilings provides a seamless, neutral canvas that highlights the bespoke bicycles. This choice of color creates a calm, inviting atmosphere that elevates the overall aesthetic.

2. Furnitures as Centre Piece:

The wall finishes are kept clean and uncluttered to guide the vision towards solid wood furniture elements.

3. Library & Study Area:

Featuring a skylight the Library area elevates the experience of working under an open to sky environment within a confined space.

4. Blending Exteriors & Interiors :

The balcony featuring bifold doors allows the space to completely open up the space and merge interiors with exteriors.

  1. Minimalistic Fabrics:

Light and minimalistic fabrics are used with bespoke made to order details to  elevate the everyday touch and feel experience.

Conclusion:

Ugen embodies a holistic approach to merge interior and exterior boundaries, offering a living environment that is conceptually rich yet achievable. By incorporating natural tones, simplistic finishes, and solid wood elements, Ugen provides a unique and serene living experience.
